This piece was painted on location plein air at the beautiful area around Lough Dan in Wicklow. It's an area I paint in often, pulled back here by the solitude, peace and natural beauty.

This is the view from the valley floor that the river Inchavore flows through into the lake and is looking north up towards Knocknacloghoge mountain. You can see another piece from the same valley in Lough Dan here.

Artwork Details

I use artist grade materials for all my work to guarantee colour vibrancy over time. All paintings are varnished to protect the work using a satin varnish which results in a semi gloss finish.
